Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of OpenPulse, a political intelligence platform operated by OpenPulse (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa (Registration 2026/254815/07).

OpenPulse is currently in private testing. Access is granted at our discretion and may be withdrawn at any time during this phase.

WHAT OPENPULSE PROVIDES

OpenPulse ingests publicly available news, social media, and government information to produce sentiment analysis, narrative detection, and political intelligence signals relating to South African political parties, politicians, and institutions.

OpenPulse’s outputs — including sentiment scores, narrative detections, and AI-generated responses — are analytical signals derived from available data, not verified facts or professional advice. Sentiment scores measure how the information environment covers a topic, not public opinion. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it for decisions.

ACCEPTABLE USE

You agree not to:

• Use OpenPulse to harass, defame, or target any individual
• Attempt to circumvent access controls or security measures
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the platform beyond normal use
• Misrepresent OpenPulse outputs as verified fact when presenting them to others
• Share your account access with unauthorised third parties

ACCOUNT ACCESS

Access to OpenPulse during the private testing phase is by invitation and subject to an entity tracking limit specific to your account. We may suspend or terminate access at our discretion, particularly during this testing phase, without prior notice.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

OpenPulse’s platform, underlying technology, and compiled intelligence outputs are the property of OpenPulse (Pty) Ltd. You may use outputs for your own internal analysis and decision-making but may not resell, redistribute, or represent OpenPulse data as your own.

NO WARRANTY DURING TESTING

OpenPulse is provided “as is” during this private testing phase. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, complete accuracy of analysis, or that the platform is free of errors. We are actively developing and improving the platform.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OpenPulse (Pty) Ltd is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform or reliance on its outputs.

CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these terms as OpenPulse develops toward public launch. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

GOVERNING LAW

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
